DESCRIPTION

It is a neoclassical building with imposing architecture that adorns the central square of the city. It was erected with the donation of John Latsis. The site includes services of the Municipality of Pyrgos, the Office of the Mayor and the President of the Municipal Council, the meeting room of the Municipal Council, as well as the hall hosting the Folklore Exhibition. The facade of the building with rich morphological features imitates classicist standards. On the ground floor on the quay with three steps there is a gallery with a marble Doric colonnade in front of the marble wall of the entrance.
The facade of the two floors, in the color of the ocher, there is marble pseudo-parasites that surround large openings to the balconies, while in the middle of the first floor there are two Ionic semi-colonies on the wall in purple color. Inside, wood and colorful marbles, as well as painting, dominate the interior as decorative elements. The mansion, which was completed in 1985, began to be built in 1977 on the mayoralty of Michalis Xystris, after a large donation by the fellow citizen Yannis Latsis.
