Paleochori (Mbouka) in Pinio Municipality

Palaiochori beach (Bouka) is located on the east coast of Cheloniti bay and has a length of 3280 m, while the coastal zone and the seabed consist of sand. On the coast there are salt marsh and sea lilies. Access to the beach takes place by car. Part of the beach is organized and has facilities such as umbrellas, sun loungers, toilets, showers, changing rooms, bins and waste baskets. On the coast there are restaurants and a mobile canteen for snacks. Northwest coast of Pinios river flows Palaiochori – Bouka beach was recognized as a bathing shore in 1991 and has since been monitored as part of the annual monitoring programs for the quality of bathing water under the responsibility of the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change.
